Formative assessments

Definition
Also known as ‘assessments for learning’, are meant to analyse if learning is taking place and give feedback to students on their competences and progression, as well as guidance in order to enhance students’ learning process. ‘Formative assessments take a variety of forms, including homework, quizzes, projects, and presentations’ (IIEP-UNESCO Learning Portal, 2018).
