Explicit bias

Definition
‘Refers to attitudes or affective reactions that people are aware that they have, that they can alter with relative ease as their beliefs change, and that they can strategically misreport when they want to do so. Explicit racial bias is measured by simply asking people to report their thoughts and feelings.’ (Starck et al., 2020: 274).
